Country music star Luke Bryan has defended his fellow American Idol judge Katy Perry against allegations that she has been bullying contestants on the show.
The allegations were made by We Are Ani, the father of contestant Anih-Rose Taylor, who was eliminated from the show last week. Ani-Rose’s father claimed that Perry had been “rude” and “mean” to his daughter during her time on the show.
In an interview with Fox News, Bryan said that he had not seen any evidence of Perry bullying contestants. He said that Perry is “a great person” and that she is “always trying to help the contestants.”
Bryan also addressed rumors that Perry is planning to leave American Idol after this season. He said that he has not heard anything about Perry leaving the show and that he hopes she will stay.
“I love working with Katy,” Bryan said. “She’s a great friend and a great judge.”
Perry has not commented publicly on the allegations or the rumors about her future on American Idol.
